My name is Julianne Slane. I have been apart of the St. Marcus community since June and I can't believe how much I've grown as an urban educator! I have been teaching math and English all year, and have been mentored by the best in the city.

If you were to ask my students about me, they would say:
   She's crazy.
   Miss Slane yells all the time... even when she is dancing.
  GO Bears.
  I'm the greatest dancer of all time. (They are lying when they say I'm not.)
  Don't test Miss Slane, she really will take your chair or your desk away if you don't appreciate it.

It's been an incredible ride learning about my students and spending time with them outside of school. St. Marcus has super high expectations and motivates us to do our best. Our scholars stay at school until 5pm and even come to Saturday school. Because of their hard work, it makes me want to push my self professionally and spiritually.
